My beloved, the more you gaze at me, the more you will resemble me…
2 Corinthians 3:16, 18 Whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is removed. [...] All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord who is the Spirit.
“My beloved, the more you gaze at me, the more you will resemble me. In the Eucharist, I am small, humble, insignificant in appearance, simple and plain. This then is what you must strive for and indeed what you will be transformed into, the more you worship my Eucharistic presence. You will become smaller and humbler. Your appearance will not attract attention. Your life will be simple and plain. But what treasures will lie hidden beneath that simple appearance! Your hidden life will be transformed in me into the glorious life of heaven. Desire nothing more than this my child. Fulfill your destiny by giving your all to Christ.”
Lord, my Beloved, grant me every grace I need to fulfill your every desire for me. You are glorious and all you desire is glorious! Then I give myself to you without reserve. Here I am, Lord, I come to do your will. Amen.
