Grace is looking for a faucet; open your heart in prayer…
2 Timothy 3:8-9…They also oppose the truth–people of depraved mind, unqualified in the faith. But they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be plain to all.
“My beloved, the lies you see all around you and hear about, the blasphemies poured out of the hearts of the evil one’s slaves like putrid sewage, these vile words and deeds will have no chance when truth dawns. The light of truth will expose them for what they really are. On that day, people will awake as from a dream. They will see what they have done and believed, and many will be ashamed. These, by grace and mercy, and the prayers of the saints, will convert. But those who dive back into the sewage have chosen a vile and vicious fate. Do not cease to pray, my child. Grace is looking for a faucet; open your heart in prayer, and the grace of God will pour into souls.”
Jesus, your mercy is unfathomable. That you can use sinners to help save sinners-that is an unimaginable grace! Jesus I trust in you-save souls! Jesus in Mary I love you. Amen.

the last 2 lines. so if those who pray open their hearts in prayer others will be given the graces. so sinners help sinners. but dont the others have to be willing to accept the grace?can grace from our prayers reach ALL.?
it sounds like the time of Divine Mercy is being talked about with plentiful graces to pour on others.

There are many different ways for grace to affect a soul. My understanding of this line is that our prayers will be the rain that softens the soil so that, at the appointed time, the word may take root. I feel that at this time, our prayers can help pre-dispose others to accept the mercy of God, especially at the time of the Illumination that is coming to the world. For some, our prayers may affect them sooner than that, may it please God! Our Lady would not tell us to Pray, pray pray! if it did no good. Then let us believe hope and trust in the Blessed Mother’s words, especially on this feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes.
God bless.

We must pray and fast for those who would “dive back into the sewage”; for Our Lord mentioned that if the worst sinners were converted, all would have the possiblity of conversion…

This just came to me and I thought I would share it:
We are the “watchmen” and the “strongman of death” is at our door. We must “stay awake”. Our prayers and fasts are the “bolt” that keep him out–not only of our own hearts and those of our loved ones– but lock him out of the whole world…
Let us fast and pray so that “the strongman’s” action is futile; and he becomes bound and thrown into the abyss eternally…
Fasting is difficult to identify for me, so I am trying to see that when I only repair my home but don’t buy “new” or something I would very much like to have, I am fasting. I am fasting when I don’t eat chocolate but substitute something instead. I am fasting when I eat bread only for breakfast, to identify with the “poor who are lucky enough to have that”. When I make a donation, I am fasting from that which I would have bought or saved. It is the idea that I give that small, seemingly insignificant gift to the Lord, and let Him know that I do it for love of Him that matters. Don’t let the “strongman” talk us out of recognizing what we do, and knowing that it matters, and offering it to the Lord… Hopefully saving souls who would otherwise be lost eternally…

Thank you Mary Therese. I love to pray for the worst sinners. I feel if God will convert them, there is great hope for the rest of us!
Your fasting plan reminds me of a friend who called it “chittle” meaning “chastised, it’s true, but just a little.” St. Louis de Montfort said, “If but a pin is given in homage, and given with a good heart, it will be enough for Jesus, who loves only the good will.” Or Mother Theresa’s exhortation to do small things with great love.
Well done, good and faithful servant of God.

“Do as i say, not as i do”. am i a hypocrite to lead others to the Lord, the Truth and the Way? i’ve often been troubled by the notion of steering others to Jesus and the Blessed Mother when i know how great a sinner i am. what gives me the right? i think nothing does, but i also think it is the work of satan to so beat us into the ground with the knowledge of our misery, that we abandon sight of God’s mercy. i am always encouraged by St. Faustina’s vision of her unshakeable trust in Jesus, approaching him always with “one eye on the abyss of my misery and one eye on the abyss of his mercy” (maybe not the exact quote from the Faustina diary, did it by memory). with that in mind, i resolve that i “shall not despair nor become despondent” (another Faustina quote from memory only) in my spiritual journey, no matter how great my misery… and great it is!

Thank you for your comment. You are right to focus on God’s mercy for none of us are worthy to stand in his presence and serve him. To accept the grace he offers is to begin a dance with the unending generosity of God. The more we accept the more he will give. The more we repent and confess, the more we enlarge our capacity to receive. You are well on your way my friend. God bless you.
